Eagle Clan Chief
*I am Cherokee by Marriage as I have no Indian blood that I know of. I was adopted so there is a possibility there. Being Cherokee is an honor for me. I enjoy the activities and ceremonies very much. Learning about the Native American history and life is very interesting. I am a member of White Thunder Drum and enjoy the events we do in celebration of the Cherokee/American Indian heritage.* Eagle of peace (Robert Andrews ~ Charles Town, WV)
Paint Clan Chief
*I enjoy being the Chief of the Paint Clan, I am looking forward to getting more members to join our clan and having fun as a clan. It was a honor when Chief White Deer made me Chief. It has been hard to make time with all the demands on me, but as time has goes on, I am finding myself trying to become a stronger Chief and looking at White Deer and trying to follow her example.* Freedoms Dove (Barbara Potter ~ Redmond, WA)
Wolf Clan Chief
*Each day I walk with my ancestors as I use the wisdom they stored within me. I am Cherokee and Irish. I was brought up white but my Grandmother taught me the Indian ways. Times were so different back then. The women gave their names away and took the name of their husbands. Over the years her History faded and her last name forgotten. I kept my full birth name and added his last name, so in the future as time fades all thing’s and my people want to find their heritage I will be easy to find. Leave a clear trail, a good path for you’re people to follow. The Indians were smart, the trail they took when they followed the Buffalo, they would make clay pottery from the mother earth, they knew once buried she would know it and preserve it, and it would be there the next winter when they had to make the long journey with the buffalo to green pastors and warmer climate they followed the seasons. As all the animals did so when they buried the Pottery of corn and grain they would have food in case they did not get meat and they could feed the tribe. The Indians learned from all things If you look close to life watch the birds the spiders the fox and most of all never take your eyes off man. He is you’re biggest threat. The Indians opened there hearts and their homes to the unknown man because they had no reason not to trust them, if you pay attention each day you will learn something and this is the Indian way. We believe we should live in harmony with all the Creator has giving us and treat all things with respect. The Indians left their trail so other Indians would know how to follow and this is 2008 and in spite of all the odd’s we are still here. Think all things through and always walk with the creator he is watching so fear not. Walk in peace* Spirit of the Wolf ( Donnia Crocker ~ Cumberland, MD )
